We are seeking an exceptional feature screenplay to purchase and produce and direct that contains-- 1) Deep, uncommon, memorable characters and setting. 2) A clear, compelling original but enduring story that can be well told in a paragraph, page or full treatment. 3) High-cost internal and/or life-and-death stakes for the characters. 4) A theme that gracefully conveys a powerful moral truth. Because we are a smaller production company with fewer resources, our budgets are much smaller (generally less than 1%) of a typical studio feature, and thus what we pay participants is proportionately less as well. Please consider this fact when you submit material to us. On the other hand, we have always produced every script we've purchased, in comparison to a big studio's practice of actually producing only a very small percentage of scripts that are optioned, and just about everyone who has worked with us in the past felt like they were treated respectfully and fairly (something the studios have been known to be short on).
